A few weeks ago, I went on a grocery run one night after Neil got home from work. Sean decided that he wanted to go with me- on the way to the car he stopped and looked straight up into the dark sky. "Mommy," he said, "look at the moon! Look at all the stars!"
So I stopped with him and looked up at the thick spread of stars hanging heavy over us, at the nearly full moon. "I see them," I said. "They're beautiful."
He waved his little hand towards the sky. "Hey, Moon! It's me, Sean!"
I smiled and watched as he kept his eyes trained on the glowing orb. His next declaration was said in an 'I'm 3 years old and offended' indignant sort of way - "Moon! I said hey! Say hey to me!"
A long pause, in which he stared into the sky with a scowl on his face."Say. Hey. To. ME!"
Haven't we all felt like that before?

So sweet! And yes, I HAVE felt that way before.
Sorry to leave this off-topic stuff here, but I didn't know what else to do. The program I use to organize my family history data is called Personal Ancestral File (PAF). It's free to download at familysearch.org (which is a great resource for research as well--pop some ancestors' names in and see if anything comes up).
Go to the familysearch home page, click on Order/Download Products, then click on Software Downloads, then click on Personal Ancestral File 5.2.18.0--Multi-Language. It's very easy to use. And I love the free. Good luck!
Christie--more off-topic stuff--I have figured out the Proust thing; see my latest post for details.
All the Sean speak reminded me that I never did read "the mouse book" with him last night. Please give him my sincerest apologies. I feel terrible (though he probably didn't even notice). And, after such courtesy from him - "Ohhh, ,sure." (Meaning "This delay is no problem at all. Please come get me at your earliest convenience") As sincere as can be. I needed to catch up - where I have been when you've been posting furiously these last few days?
